Governor Whitmer Takes a Stand on Gun Control, Signs ‘Red Flag’ Laws for Michigan…

May 25, 2023

Michigan Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signed legislation Monday that will make it easier for authorities to seize firearms from persons who are thought to pose a danger to themselves or others, often known as “red flag” laws.

“Extreme risk protection orders have been proven to reduce suicides, save lives, and keep guns out of the hands of domestic abusers and violent criminals,” Whitmer said in a statement released on Monday.

According to a legislative analysis of the bill published by the Michigan House of Representatives, Senate Bill 83 allows certain individuals to file a “extreme risk protection order” with the circuit court if “evidence supports that a respondent poses a significant risk of self-injury or injury to others by possessing a firearm,” according to a legislative analysis of the bill published by the Michigan House of Representatives.

Border Patrol clears way for more migrant releases to city streets, sources say: 'The dam is about to break'

May 9, 2023

Tens of thousands of migrants are expected to surge into the United States as Title 42 expires on May 11

The Biden administration's top border officials in Washington, D.C., have decided to authorize all Border Patrol sectors to begin "safe" mass releases of migrants to city streets if non-governmental organizations don't have the capacity to hold them, multiple sources tell Fox News.

The consequence of this decision is that migrants will be mass released at bus stops, gas stations, supermarkets and in towns and cities across the border as Customs and Border Protection facilities are already over capacity in multiple sectors, according to CBP sources who were not authorized to speak publicly.

NGOs are quickly approaching their limits to house migrants and tens of thousands more migrants are expected to surge into the United States once the Title 42 public health order is lifted on May 11. The city of El Paso, Texas has already seen thousands of migrants camped out on the sidewalks.

This is America’s surprising youth drug crisis

May 9, 2023

Legalized drug crisis is harming young people far more than most realize

The data is in and it’s becoming increasingly clear that the impacts of commercial marijuana industry are even worse than we thought, particularly for America’s young people. A new report released by Smart Approaches to Marijuana shows the reality in "pot-legal states" paints a vastly different picture than the common sales pitch of the industry and supporters of legalization.

The marijuana industry, which spent billions to lobby elected officials and bankroll legalization referendum campaigns, is following the playbook pioneered by Big Tobacco. They recognize that the road to big profits runs through the heaviest users. As such, they have increased potency of the drug by more than four times since 1998, hoping to hook kids while they are young and vulnerable. The numbers show that it’s working.

See-no-evil on border insecurity will get us killed

May 8, 2023

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas declared last week: “The border is not open. It has not been open, and it will not be open subsequent to May 11th.” His statement calls to mind the famous Marx Brothers line, “Who gonna believe, me or your own eyes?”

Better go with what you are seeing. Joe Biden has let in some five million illegal aliens and countless more expect to join them when pandemic-related restrictions end on the 11th

Look closer and you’ll see among them large numbers of unaccompanied, military age men. War correspondent Michael Yon reports that many are Chinese nationals equipped with identical “kits.”

That sure appears to be a covert invasion by elements of the People’s Liberation Army on the eve of a shooting war with Communist China. Team Biden’s facilitating – and lying about – it amounts to treason.

This is Frank Gaffney.

Abbott: We don’t need 1,500 soldiers at the border, we need 15,000 or 150,000

May 8, 2023

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) slammed the Biden administration’s move to send 1,500 troops to the southern border, arguing the president was sending the soldiers to “do paperwork” and not “secure the border.”

President Biden is sending 1,500, quote, soldiers to do paperwork, and he’s not going to secure the border,” Abbott said in an interview with Fox News Sunday.

The national focus on the southern border has increased as the federal government’s Title 42 policy, a federal rule that has allowed the government to strictly regulate border entries, gets set to expire this month.

California reparations panel approves payments of up to $1.2 million to every Black resident

 May 7, 2023

California's legislature could vote on the panel's recommendations

The California Reparations Task Force formally recommended that the state offer payments of up to $1.2 million to every qualifying Black resident.

The task force held a public meeting in Oakland, California, on Saturday and voted on the final set of recommendations to be sent to the state's legislators. The nine-member panel called on the state to offer its Black residents a formal apology in addition to the payments.

"Reparations are not only morally justifiable, but they have the potential to address long-standing racial disparities and inequalities," Rep. Barbara Lee, D-Calif., said after attending the meeting.

California activists demand millions more for every Black resident than current proposal

Activists on Saturday demanded that the state of California pay millions of dollars to each Black resident in reparations as a way to make amends for slavery and subsequent discrimination, dismissing the mammoth proposals from California's reparations task force as too little.

The demands were made at a highly explosive official meeting of the task force, which was created by state legislation signed by Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom in 2020. The committee was hearing comments from the public as it considers final recommendations to submit to the California Legislature, which will then decide whether to implement the measures and send them to Newsom's desk to be signed into law.

An activist identified as Reverend Tony Pierce was one of the most outspoken people at the gathering, making reference to the famous "40 acres and a mule" promise to former slaves when he took the podium.

Soros-Funded Prosecutor Kim Gardner Resigns from Office

May 6, 2030

George Soros-funded St. Louis prosecutor Kim Gardner resigned from office on Thursday, less than one month after Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey took steps to remove her from office.

Gardner alluded to being “targeted” due to her race and gender in her letter of resignation, which she uploaded to Twitter.

“Unfortunately, since the time I took office, as the first Black, female prosecutor in the State, people outside of the city have targeted me and, to advance their goals, have also targeted the fundamental rights of the city’s voters,” Gardner wrote.

What are you searching for? Arizona Supreme Court Gives Major Victory To Kari Lake, Election Lawsuit Will Happen 'Forthwith' To Determine Contested Governor's Seat

May 6, 2023
The Chief Justice of the Arizona Supreme Court on Thursday decided that court proceedings should take place "forthwith" in Maricopa County Suprerior Court regarding Kari Lake's (R-AZ) election challenge.

The issue which that trial will be around is over signature verification with respect to the 2022 Arizona governor's race. According to Just the NewsThe race was decided by a margin of around 17,000 ballots in favor of Katie Hobbes (D-AZ) who now occupies the office of governor. Should enough ballots be cast into doubt due to lack of or mismatching signatures, it could result in a court order of a change of governor.

The last time Arizona experienced a court overturning the official result of an election over allegations of election impropriety was in 1916. Back in 1916, the initial declared winner occupied the seat until the court a year later proclaimed his opponent had won.

The state Chief Justice also denied Kari's opponent's Motion to Strike and denied the request that Kari's lawyers pay the defendant's attorney's fees. The decision by the state Chief Justice did not wholly rule in Kari Lake's favor, however. He ordered that her lawyer pay "the Clerk of the Supreme Court the sum of $2,000.00" as a sanction for repeated asserations that to the effect that it was an "undisputed fact that 35,563 unaccounted for ballots were added to the total number of ballots."

1st Amendment Rights “Trampled” By Giles County

May 3, 2023

A Giles County couple says their first amendment rights have been trampled by County Executive Graham Stowe.

Stowe rescinded permission for local husband and wife, and Christian business owners Jason and Tonya Guthrie, to use the gazebo, courthouse grounds, and surrounding lawn in Pulaski, Tennessee, on the same day as a scheduled Pride Parade.

The parade on June 3rd is organized by an LGBTQ organization known as the Giles County Inclusivity Coalition (GCIC) who has a history of sponsoring events that include activities not appropriate for minors.

GCIC applied for a permit from the City of Pulaski to use the streets surrounding the gazebo and courthouse grounds but did not request permission to use those areas specifically. Approval for the gazebo and courthouse area are granted separately, by the county.

Following the reservation of the gazebo and surrounding area by Tonya Guthrie, GCIC asked Stowe during a committee meeting for the name of the individual to whom it was reserved. When Stowe refused to disclose that information, GCIC filed a public records request and learned that permission had been given to Tonya.

Arizona County Sees 377% Surge in Human Smuggling, 610% Hike in Fentanyl Under Biden

May 3, 2023

The situation along the southwest border has deteriorated so badly under President Joe Biden that in the last two years an Arizona county about an hour drive from Mexico has seen a breathtaking 377% increase in human smuggling and trafficking incidents and a shocking 610% rise in fentanyl pills seized by local law enforcement officers. Closer to the southern border a small Arizona town a stone’s throw from Los Algodones, Mexico saw three times its population cross into its municipality illegally last year, overwhelming the city’s only hospital.

The Pinal County Sheriff and the president of Yuma Regional Medical Center offered the chilling information this week during a congressional hearing focusing on immigration since Biden took office. Held by the House Homeland Security Committee, the session occurred just days after the nation heard alarming testimony form Border Patrol sector chiefs during a separate conference held by the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability. In that hearing Rio Grande Valley Chief Gloria Chavez revealed cartels use drones to track federal agents and that in her Texas sector alone more than 10,000 drone incursions and 25,000 drone sightings occurred in a year. “The adversaries have 17 times the number of drones, twice the amount of flight hours and unlimited funding to grow their operations,” Chavez told federal lawmakers. Tucson sector Chief John Modlin said the border crisis has gone from “what I would describe as unprecedented to a point where I don’t have the correct adjective.” Last year his Arizona sector seized about 700 pounds of fentanyl, which is well over three million pills.

State, local legislatures eye bans on gas-powered lawn equipment

 May 2, 2023

Several states are rushing to prohibit gasoline-powered mowers, blowers and trimmers in dash to new, zero-emissions economy.

While the Biden administration and its Green New Deal allies have been expanding their list of technology targeted for forced obsolescence deeper into the realm of American family and private life to include gas stoves, light bulbs and traditional cars, local and state officials are stepping up the ongoing war against gas-powered landscaping equipment for both commercial and home use.

Over 100 localities across the U.S. have imposed bans on gas-powered lawn care equipment, according to the Washington Times. They may soon be joined by Dallas, whose municipal Environnment and Sustainability Committee last year recommended that the city "fully implement City-staff transition to electric equipment."

The Dallas committee cited case studies from other large jurisdictions like Washington, D.C., which has decreed that "no person sell, offer for sale, or use a gasoline-powered leaf blower," and Montgomery County, Md., which is weighing similar legislation.

In 2021, California extended a patchwork of local efforts statewide when Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom signed AB-1346, which "prohibit[s] engine exhaust and evaporative emissions from new small off-road engines” by 2024 on the grounds that they "emit high levels of air pollutants."
