Biden’s 1,500 Troops Sent to Southern Border Are a ‘Welcome Wagon,’ Retired Border Patrol Agent Says

May 6, 2023

“It’s a welcome wagon,” a retired Border Patrol agent says of the 1,500 active-duty troops the Biden administration is sending to the southern border ahead of the expiration of Title 42 on May 11.

The troops will be helping with “non-law enforcement duties,” according to the Homeland Security Department, but Frank Lopez says that likely means they will be assigned tasks like “feeding [illegal aliens], to providing water, [and] blankets for little kids.”

Lopez served in the Border Patrol for 30 years before retiring at the end of 2018. While the situation at the border changes to some degree with each administration, Lopez says “the change under Biden was so drastic, so detrimental, and so anti-enforcement.”

Border Patrol, Customs and Border Protection, and CBP’s Office of Field Operations are running drills and stockpiling goods like food and diapers at the ports of entry in preparation for the end of Title 42, said Lopez, who ran for U.S. Congress as a Texas independent in 2022.

RFK Jr: WEF and Bill Gates Are Using ‘Climate Change’ To Depopulate the Planet

May 6, 2023

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has warned that the World Economic Forum and Bill Gates are attempting to depopulate the world under the guise of “saving the planet.”

Speaking during a new interview with Kim Iverson, RFK Jr. warned that the globalist elite are using “climate change” to usher in totalitarian population control.

Slaynews.com reports: Kennedy made the comments shortly after launching his campaign to challenge President Joe Biden in the Democrat 2024 presidential primary.

RFK Jr. has emerged as an interesting candidate who is rocking the boat of the Democrat establishment.

Unlike Biden and the rest of the Democratic Party, Kennedy is not a socialist Democrat.

While his talking points do somewhat align with the liberal Left, his agenda contrasts sharply with that of the Democrat regime.

Franklin Graham: America Is ‘Spiraling in a Heap of Confusion and Lies’

May 6, 2023

Prominent evangelist Franklin Graham urged Americans to return to prayer Thursday, insisting the nation’s problems stem from having “turned our back on God.”

“Our country is spiraling in a heap of confusion and lies,” Rev. Graham wrote to his 10 million Facebook followers.

“As a nation we have turned our back on God and His Word, and we are seeing the results. Violence, crime, and suicide are rampant,” he declared.

The only solution to the nation’s escalating problems is a return to God, Graham asserted, in his remembrance of the National Day of Prayer, an annual observance designated by the U.S. Congress and held on the first Thursday of May.

The National Day of Prayer was established by President Harry S. Truman in 1952 as part of the public reaction to the threats occasioned by the Korean War, mandating that each subsequent president sign a yearly proclamation urging all Americans to pray on this day.

At that time, Rev. Billy Graham — Franklin Graham’s father — was a leading voice in urging the country to adopt a national day of prayer.

When Strength, Moral Clarity, Resolve, and Humility Prevailed

The timeless lessons of Ronald Reagan’s template for the New Republican Party.

“If men of wisdom and knowledge, of moderation and temperance, of patience, fortitude and perseverance, of sobriety and true republican simplicity of manners, of zeal for the honour of the Supreme Being and the welfare of the commonwealth; if men possessed of these other excellent qualities are chosen to fill the seats of government, we may expect that our affairs will rest on a solid and permanent foundation.” —Samuel Adams (1780)

“A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…” That was the opening crawl in George Lucas’s now-epic 1977 film “Star Wars,” followed by eight prequels and sequels. The film was accompanied by an equally epic soundtrack by an exceptional composer, John Williams, conducting the London Symphony Orchestra.

Indeed, it seems like it was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away that Ronald Reagan issued his 1977 blueprint for “Federalism and the New Republican Party.” That template was rooted in the timeless principles he set forth in his 1964 speech, “A Time for Choosing,” and it’s as applicable today as it was then.

(You can read his remarks and other major speeches in our comprehensive historical tribute pages to President Reagan.)

According to then-former California Governor Reagan, who was a major inspirational force behind The Patriot Post, here are the foundational tenets of the Republican Party:

Soros-Funded Prosecutor Kim Gardner Resigns from Office

May 6, 2030

George Soros-funded St. Louis prosecutor Kim Gardner resigned from office on Thursday, less than one month after Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey took steps to remove her from office.

Gardner alluded to being “targeted” due to her race and gender in her letter of resignation, which she uploaded to Twitter.

“Unfortunately, since the time I took office, as the first Black, female prosecutor in the State, people outside of the city have targeted me and, to advance their goals, have also targeted the fundamental rights of the city’s voters,” Gardner wrote.

What are you searching for? Arizona Supreme Court Gives Major Victory To Kari Lake, Election Lawsuit Will Happen 'Forthwith' To Determine Contested Governor's Seat

May 6, 2023
The Chief Justice of the Arizona Supreme Court on Thursday decided that court proceedings should take place "forthwith" in Maricopa County Suprerior Court regarding Kari Lake's (R-AZ) election challenge.

The issue which that trial will be around is over signature verification with respect to the 2022 Arizona governor's race. According to Just the NewsThe race was decided by a margin of around 17,000 ballots in favor of Katie Hobbes (D-AZ) who now occupies the office of governor. Should enough ballots be cast into doubt due to lack of or mismatching signatures, it could result in a court order of a change of governor.

The last time Arizona experienced a court overturning the official result of an election over allegations of election impropriety was in 1916. Back in 1916, the initial declared winner occupied the seat until the court a year later proclaimed his opponent had won.

The state Chief Justice also denied Kari's opponent's Motion to Strike and denied the request that Kari's lawyers pay the defendant's attorney's fees. The decision by the state Chief Justice did not wholly rule in Kari Lake's favor, however. He ordered that her lawyer pay "the Clerk of the Supreme Court the sum of $2,000.00" as a sanction for repeated asserations that to the effect that it was an "undisputed fact that 35,563 unaccounted for ballots were added to the total number of ballots."

Media Ramps Up Pressure On McCarthy Over Jan. 6 Tapes

May 6, 2023

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy released over 40,000 hours of unseen footage from the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, to former Fox News host Tucker Carlson earlier this year. Now, pressure is mounting on McCarthy over the Jan. 6 tapes because he gave Carlson, who was fired from Fox News on Monday, access to the footage earlier this year.

McCarthy has promised to give the public and media access to the tapes after his team reviews all of the footage to address any potential security concerns.

“This is the challenge. The Democrats told us it was only 14,000 hours of tapes, lo and behold, we take the majority and it’s 42,000 hours, so that would take me years to go all the way through. Yeah, I think the public should see what’s happened to them. We’ve worked with the Capitol Police [to] tell us about [any] section that there was a problem. And that takes a long time. But we want to make sure everybody has the opportunity to come and see what they want,” McCarthy said. “So we’ve created the process to make that start happening.”

Now, nearly a month after his promise, several mainstream media outlets are turning up the heat on McCarthy to get access to the footage.

THE ILLUSION OF MORAL NEUTRALITY

 May 6, 2023

Nietzsche claimed that if men took God seriously, they would still be burning heretics at the stake. In the same spirit, one supposes, are the notions that if men really cherished moral truth, they would suppress all beliefs that they considered wrong, and that if men still cared about the sanctity of the marriage bed, they would go back to making adulterers wear the scarlet A.

Today two different groups of people agree with conditional statements of this sort. In the first group are the ordinary bigots, who are always among us. The second are a kind of modern backlash—call it the reaction—found principally among the “cultural elite.” For instance, whereas the bigots respond to Nietzsche’s conditional by saying, “Yes, that’s why we should burn heretics,” the reactionaries respond to it by saying, “No, that’s why we should suppress the public expression of belief in God.”

These reactionaries claim to love tolerance, but, misunderstanding it, they strangle it in their embrace. Their creed is that intolerance is born at the same moment as public moral commitments; that morality must therefore be a “private” affair; that in order to say that tolerance is a good, we must forbear to say aloud that anything else is good or evil. Their god is Neutrality. In certain intellectual regions he travels under other names such as Autonomy and Rights.

Why So Many ‘Tolerant’ People Are Actually the Opposite

May 6, 2023

It’s become common to point out that those who most preach “tolerance” are often themselves highly “intolerant.”

But why is that?

As University of Texas professor and ethics expert J. Budziszewski explains, it may have a lot to do with tolerance’s character as a virtue.

Let me explain. Or rather, I’ll explain Budziszewski’s explanation from his excellent article, “The Illusion of Moral Neutrality.” This explanation involves three steps:

1) Tolerance is a virtue.

A virtue is a behavioral disposition that lies between the extremes of deficiency and excess and assists one in pursuing the good. Despite the messiness in its application today, authentic tolerance is a virtue through which one puts up with something in order to—in the words of Budziszewski—either “prevent graver evils” or “advance greater goods.” Thus, for instance, we may tolerate someone voicing a wrong opinion because suppressing it: 1) could lead to further, more insidious suppressions of free speech; 2) could eliminate the chance for truth to shine through when pitted against error.

BOMBSHELL: Grassley and Comer Say They’ve Found Evidence of Biden Getting PAID OFF for ‘Policy Decisions’

 May 5, 2023

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) wrote to Gestapo chief Merrick Garland and his henchman, FBI top dog Christopher Wray, on Wednesday with some allegations that were positively explosive. Grassley and Comer say that they’ve “received legally protected and highly credible unclassified whistleblower disclosures” regarding a “criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and a foreign national relating to the exchange of money for policy decisions.” Would anyone really be surprised if it were positively determined that Old Joe Biden was paid off by foreigners to set policy in a way they dictated?

If this is accurate, it would involve not just Biden but Barack Obama as well. This is because the vice president doesn’t have any Constitutional authority to make policy decisions, and quite aside from the Constitution, Obama, who famously said, “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f**k things up”, is unlikely to have given Old Joe any real authority to do anything. So if a foreign national was paying Old Joe to make policy decisions favorable to himself, they would almost certainly have had to have the approval of the Man Whose Tan Suit Was His Only Scandal.

The implications of this cannot be understated. It would be no surprise if Old Joe were confirmed as the corrupt kleptocrat he has long been reputed to be, but if this bribery scheme did end up reaching Obama, it could have a serious impact on the Democrats’ present electoral chances and even upon their continued ability to sew up elections left and right by means of ballot harvesting, mail-in ballots, and other present-day chicanery. The only problem is that the very agencies that ought to be energetically pursuing this issue are part of the same corrupt Leftist establishment that dominates Washington. Consequently, it’s not at all clear that the truth about this will ever come out.

All Tomorrow’s Riots

May 5, 2023

A city that permits the seriously mentally ill to roam free is begging for tragic outcomes.

In an incident sadly familiar to many New Yorkers, a man living on the streets with a long history of mental illness started screaming, acting erratically, and threatening the people sharing his subway car earlier this week. “I don’t mind going to jail and getting life in prison,” screamed the 30-year-old Jordan Neely, who had 44 arrests under his belt and an outstanding warrant for felony assault, as he flailed around throwing items of his clothing. “I’m ready to die!”

In response, a 24-year-old Marine Corps veteran put Neely in a chokehold, incapacitating him and releasing him after he stopped struggling and passed out. A freelance reporter who took video of the incident, Juan Alberto Vazquez, told news outlets that no one on the train initially thought Neely was in any worse shape than being unconscious, but by the time the police who met the train at the station took him to a nearby hospital, Neely was pronounced dead.

Police questioned the young man, whose name they did not make public, but released him without charges pending an investigation. In the next 36 hours, the usual suspects began to gin up the outrage machine. Readers online lambasted The New York Times for not immediately declaring Neely a murder victim and characterized the incident as having racist implications; Neely is black, and the Marine is white. Governor Kathy Hochul declared the case “troubling.” AOC tweeted, “Jordan Neely was murdered” and declared that funding the police is “militarized” and “disgusting.” By the end of the week, it’s likely Jordan Neely will be on the front of every paper, forcing the country to consider whether erratic and threatening behavior from someone clearly out of his mind justifies the application of force in self-defense.

The Jones Act’s Role in Encouraging Puerto Rico’s Use of Russian Energy

May 5, 2023

In February of last year, the tanker Catalunya Spirit berthed next to a power plant on Puerto Rico’s southern coast and began discharging its cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG). That’s not unusual. LNG tankers regularly arrive in Puerto Rico to provide the natural gas used to generate over 40 percent of the territory’s electricity. What is unusual, however, is where the Catalunya Spirit’s cargo originated: Russia. The same month that tensions were ratcheting up with Moscow over its aggression toward Ukraine—culminating with its February 24th invasion—Puerto Rico was importing $29 million worth of Russian gas.

Leaving geopolitical optics aside, the sourcing decision appears puzzling from both a geographic and efficiency perspective. Why would the island import natural gas that originated in distant Russia rather than the much closer U.S. mainland—one of the world’s top exporters of LNG?

A large part of the answer almost certainly lies in U.S. maritime protectionism.

Chuck Grassley Says ‘The FBI Needs To Come Clean’ About Evidence Of Biden’s ‘Possible Criminal Activity’

May 5, 2023

Republican Sen. Charles Grassley of Iowa said Wednesday that the FBI and Department of Justice (DOJ) needed to “come clean” about “possible criminal activity” by President Joe Biden during his time as vice president.

Grassley and Republican Rep. James Comer of Kentucky, the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, wrote to the FBI Wednesday, demanding the agency produce a document containing details of an alleged criminal scheme involving a foreign national and then-Vice President Biden.

“This comes from a credible and unclassified whistleblower disclosures of this possible criminal activity when Biden was vice president and we’re – we want this information and there’s a subpoena going to be, or is issued now, and it really boils down to my traditional oversight of government, particularly see the executive branch is doing the work that they’re supposed to be doing,” Grassley told “America Reports” co-hosts Sandra Smith and John Roberts, “So the Justice Department and the FBI needs to come clean to the American people what they did with the document.”

If greed good or bad, or does it mean how you define greed?

May 5, 2023

Greed is good, so long as it is wanting more and more of something that is beneficial to you in context. In other words, food is good for you, but if you eat too much, you become fat and nearly immovable. Greed for money is good, so long as you earned it all and didn’t steal it. Money is a means of exchange for goods and services, and in the context of your personal life having more of that is good, so long as you traded value for value to get it. Greed basically just means wanting more of something, and that is not bad if it enhances your life rationally. If you want to read a book that goes into details of the benefits of greed, then I would recommend Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. She outlines a new and objective morality based on man’s nature as a rational animal. And she points out that so long as your greed does not harm you (like eating too much or drinking too much water or breathing too deeply and repetitively (hyperventilate) and other things like that). Greed could be understood as wanting the best life can offer, and that is not bad at all. Here is what Ayn Rand had to say about greed:

“Capitalism has been called a system of greed—yet it is the system that raised the standard of living of its poorest citizens to heights no collectivist system has ever begun to equal, and no tribal gang can conceive of.”

A sea-going Sodom and Gomorrah invites Pearl Harbor 2.0

May 5, 2023

On what may be the eve of a devastating shooting-war with the Chinese Communist Party, the Biden Pentagon is simultaneously demoralizing those in uniform and emboldening the enemy.

A new U.S. Navy marketing campaign, supposedly aimed at young Americans, features a cross-dressed male sailor beckoning them to enlist. The message is: a once-squared-away military service is now a sea-going Sodom and Gomorrah.

Such a “fundamental transformation” has been a goal throughout Obama-Biden’s three terms since it not only targets a bedrock of our national security, but one that’s long exemplified the best of our national traditions and values.

If such radical social engineering of our armed forces results in our defeat, it will be proof positive that the wrecking operation inflicted by those “doing business as Joe Biden” is not just harming our country. It’s benefiting the President’s masters in Beijing.

This is Frank Gaffney.

The thinking error that makes people susceptible to climate change denial

 May 5, 2023

This article was written to tell those who use reason, common sense, and facts that you are stupid.  This article is designed to make theories that have proven false for over 50 years seem true.  Why am I posting this article? So, you will know where and what the lies are about climate change and know how to combat the lies and hoax of climate change. Read thoroughly.

Cold spells often bring climate change deniers out in force on social media, with hashtags like #ClimateHoax and #ClimateScam. Former President Donald Trump often chimes in, repeatedly claiming that each cold snap disproves the existence of global warming.

From a scientific standpoint, these claims of disproof are absurd. Fluctuations in the weather don’t refute clear long-term trends in the climate.

Yet many people believe these claims, and the political result has been reduced willingness to take action to mitigate climate change.

Why are so many people susceptible to this type of disinformation? My field, psychology, can help explain – and help people avoid being misled.

Sanders’s $17 minimum wage proposal creates political headache for Schumer

 May 5, 2023

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is creating a political headache for Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) by pushing hard for a vote on a bill to raise the national minimum wage to $17 an hour — a proposal Senate Democrats facing tough reelection races opposed in 2021.

Sanders, who remains very popular with the Democratic Party’s progressive base, warned Thursday there would be “political consequences” for lawmakers who oppose his effort.

“We’re going to push it as quickly and hard as we can,” Sanders told reporters at a Thursday press conference.

“Right now we’re focusing on making sure that we have the votes in the Senate and the House to raise the minimum wage,” he said. “I don’t think there’s a state in the country where people do not believe we should raise the minimum wage. I would hope that every member of Congress understands and there will be political consequences … if they don’t.”

Sanders’s proposal to raise the minimum wage from $7.25 an hour to $17 an hour over five years is an updated version of the proposal he pushed in 2021 to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour, which eight Senate Democrats voted against.

WHO declares end to Covid-19 global public health emergency

May 5, 2023

The spread of Covid-19 is no longer a global public health emergency, the World Health Organization declared Friday.

“For more than a year, the pandemic has been on a downward trend with population immunity increasing from vaccination and infection, mortality decreasing, and the pressure on health systems easing,” WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said at a news conference in Geneva.

“This trend has allowed most countries to return to life as we knew it before Covid-19,” Tedros said. “It’s therefore with great hope that I declared Covid-19 over as a global health emergency.”

Nearly 7 million people have died from the virus worldwide since the WHO first declared the emergency on Jan. 30, 2020, according to the U.N. organization’s official data. Tedros said the true death toll is at least 20 million.

The WHO’s decision comes as the U.S. is set to end its national public health emergency on Thursday.

J6 Political Prisoner Dominic Pezzola’s Attorney: Evidence Confirms J6 Was An Organized Government Plot — There Is NO EVIDENCE Of Conspiracy By Patriots

May 5, 2023

Defense attorney Roger Roots, representing J6 political prisoner Dominic Pezzolla, was on “pins and needles” during a call with The Gateway Pundit Thursday morning as jurors reached a partial verdict on the Proud Boys seditious conspiracy trial.

Suspense suddenly morphed into shock, heartbreak and despair. An hour later, a full verdict was deliberated convicting Enrique Tarrio, Joseph Biggs, Zachary Rehl and Ethan Nordean on three counts of conspiracy and every other felony leveled against them by the Department of Justice.

“I mean look at Tarrio — Tarrio was not even in DC! Look at Pezolla, he had only been a Proud Boy for 30 days,” Roots lamented. “They convicted everyone on the breaking of the fence, including Tarrio — are you kidding me breaking the fence from 50 miles away?”
