A Key Trump-Era Policy’s End Will Be The ‘Demise’ Of The US’ Immigration Courts, Experts Say
May 10, 2023
- Title 42, the Trump-era public health order, ending May 11 will break the U.S. immigration court system, according to a senior Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) official, who spoke with the Daily Caller News Foundation, a former U.S. immigration judge and recent data showing the extent of the immigration court backlog.
- The number of cases the Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR) oversees continues to rise, more than tripling to 1,791,304 pending cases in 2022, with 313,849 completed.
- “Title 42 ending will be the demise of the immigration court system,” a senior ICE official close to the matter and not authorized to speak publicly, told the DCNF.
Why It’s Time to Treat Communist Symbols Like the Swastika
May 10, 2023
If someone were to ask you to think of either extreme of the political spectrum, odds are you would immediately picture a swastika at one end, and a hammer and sickle at the other. Regardless of your views of the left-right paradigm, or whether you subscribe to horseshoe theory or not, we (rightfully) tend to perceive fascism and communism as the standard ideologies of the extreme.
As such, many of us would also feel rather uneasy seeing those two symbols. Upon seeing a swastika, we are immediately reminded of the evils of the Nazi regime, and are accordingly repulsed. To publicly display the logo is even a crime in many European countries. We understand how abhorrent the ideology is, and treat it accordingly with disrespect and disgust.
Illegal Immigration Destroys Sovereignty
May 10, 2023
Our ruling classes reject our right to govern ourselves.
Controversy about immigration in America is as old as the nation itself. The Declaration of Independence presents as one of the “Facts…submitted to a candid world” that “the present King of Great Britain” intends to establish “an absolute Tyranny over these States” because he has obstructed “Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migration hither.”
The Declaration had proclaimed that “the Laws of nature and of Nature’s God” entitled the American people to assume, “among the Powers of the earth,” a “separate and equal” sovereign nation. This nation would be based on the “consent of the governed” and dedicated to the proposition that “all men are created equal.” The clear message conveyed by the Declaration was that a sovereign nation-state has plenary power over matters of citizenship and immigration.
Biden's Border Crisis Doesn't Look Very Made Up Now

CBS News, April 2, 2023. "Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas won't call immigration at southern border a crisis."
USA Today, March 27, 2021. "White House says migrant situation 'not a crisis' as Biden's border czar Roberta Jacobson heads to Mexico."

There are None-So-Blind as Those Who Refuse to See
May 10, 2023
To author: I think you are on point here with general thrust of argument.
But what informs you that Trump is ONLY “national economic policy” candidate? Have you, from your key conservative position/visible profile, reached out to exchange such views with Governor DeSantis?
We agree, I’d assume, that winning the White House AND Senate are CRITICAL to maintaining a free America. To SAVE our America. […] If DeSantis can align with you on NEP, is he not a more likely general election winner?
Thanks for your comments,
Who knew about Joe Biden’s “elite capture”?
May 10, 2023
Natalie Winters is hands-down the best investigative journalist of her generation. True, very few of her contemporaries have anything approaching the experience, let alone the reportorial accomplishments, of the woman who is now, at twenty-something, the Executive Editor of Steve Bannon’s War Room.
Mostly Natalie stands out, however, for her relentless exposure of what the Chinese Communists call the “elite capture” of many of this country’s leaders in finance, business, the academy, Hollywood, the media and government.
For example, on Tuesday she broke the story that the House Oversight Committee will reveal today its documentation of a million dollars in bribes paid by a Romanian oligarch while Joe Biden was Vice President.
Obviously, Joe must go. The question that now deserves investigation, by both Natalie Winters and congressional committees, is who else in the Obama-Biden administration’s first two terms knew of his corruption?
This is Frank Gaffney.
The Dog Whistle of ‘Christian Nationalism’
May 10, 2023
The Left’s latest cudgel against religious conservatives.
Since Donald Trump’s surprise victory in the 2016 election, a rash of articles, surveys, and books have claimed that many—maybe even most—Americans in flyover country are “Christian nationalists.” That’s supposed to sound scary. But the term is mostly used as a smear against conservative Christians who defend the role of religion in American public life.
Sociologists Andrew Whitehead and Samuel Perry give the perceived threat a scholarly gloss in their recent book from Oxford University Press, Taking America Back for God. They define Christian nationalism as “an ideology that idealizes and advocates a fusion of American civic life with a particular type of Christian identity and culture.” What’s more, it “includes assumptions of nativism, white supremacy, patriarchy and heteronormativity, along with divine sanction for authoritarian control and militarism.” That’s quite a parade of horribles.
Democrats’ Far-Reaching ‘Reforms’ Are The Real Threat To Election Security, Not Violent Conservatives
May 10, 2023
Democrats have long played upon imaginary fears to instill unity in the ranks before launching a major policy push.
The left doesn’t hide its goal of running our elections in secret. After all, democracy today effectively means “rule by Democrats.” The first step in transforming a free republic into a dictatorship is to brand the party’s enemies a security threat to the regime. The objective is to establish a police state built on terror with the power to arrest its critics on the pretext of national security.
New legislation would do exactly that: empower Democrats to bar poll watchers, brand Trump voters domestic terrorists, and use the Justice Department to remake local law enforcement into tools of the security state.
Biden’s Corruption Is Everything Corporate Media Hoped To Get Out Of Trump, So They Won’t Cover It
May 10, 2023
Corporate media refuse to recognize President Joe Biden’s corruption even when it stares them in the face during a one-on-one interview.
Every day, investigators uncover potential evidence that President Joe Biden sold out the country for personal gain, yet even when on full display, the corporate media refuse to call out the Democrat’s corruption, deliberately choosing to ignore the scandal.
“Sir, there is something personal that’s affecting you. Your son, while there’s no ties to you, could be charged by your Department of Justice. How will that impact your presidency?” MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle twice asked the president on Friday during one of his rare sitdown interviews.
The Impending Thermidor Reaction in Jacobin America
May 10, 2023
Victor Davis Hanson
American Greatness
The decade-long French Revolution that broke out in 1789 soon devolved into far more than removing the monarchy, as it became antithetical to the earlier American precedent. American notions of liberty and freedom were seen as far too narrow, given the state, if only all-powerful and all-wise, could mandate “equality” and force “fraternity” among its subjects.
Each cycle of French revolutionary fervor soon became more radicalized and cannibalistic—until it reached its logical ends of violent absurdity.
Originally, the idea of curbing the power of a Bourbon king through a parliamentary republic became lethally counter-revolutionary.

LA Plan Calls For Unarmed Civilians, Not Cops, To Perform Traffic Stops
May 10, 2023
The Los Angeles Department of Transportation released a draft outline of a report to the Los Angeles Times proposing that most traffic enforcement duties be performed by unarmed civilians.
The draft report, which has been in the works for three years, outlines a plan to reduce traffic deaths and safety concerns by means of narrower streets, more bike lanes and using civilians instead of cops to enforce traffic violations. It also called for the reduction of “pretextual stops,” which are stops made for minor traffic violations in search of larger crimes, such as searches for guns or drugs, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Ireland’s controversial hate speech law paves the way for an Orwellian future
May 10, 2023
A new hate speech bill is being pushed through the Irish parliament despite an initial public consultation revealing an overwhelming number of Irish citizens oppose the controversial reforms to free speech.
Passed through the Dáil, the country’s lower parliamentary chamber last month, the Criminal Justice (Incitement to Violence or Hatred and Hate Offences) Bill 2022 was roundly endorsed across the political spectrum. Parties including Sinn Fein, Labour, the Green Party, Fianna Fáil, and Irish leader Leo Varadkar’s Fine Gael all backed the bill, as it received 110 votes in favor to just 14 against.
However, as is often the case, the popular legislation among politicians is less admired by the electorate and has been widely criticized by huge swathes of the Irish public and free speech advocates.
The bill has also received international condemnation with high-profile opponents including Elon Musk; Donald Trump Jr.; and Canadian scholar Jordan Peterson, a former Harvard University professor.
America’s Founders Didn’t Support Open Borders, And Neither Should We
May 10, 2023
‘The safety of a republic depends essentially on the energy of a common national sentiment; on a uniformity of principles and habits.’
There is little evidence that the founders advocated for a free-for-all, open-door immigration policy.
From the very beginning, even in the absence of immigration law, the founders knew America had to set boundaries. Their top three concerns were the qualifications, assimilation, and allegiance of newcomers. The founders emphasized the moral character and contributions newcomers would bring.
Bombshell Findings From House Oversight Re: Biden Family, Millions Received From Foreign Nationals
May 10, 2023
As RedState has reported, the House Oversight Committee, chaired by Rep. James Comer (R-KY) has been taking a deep dive into the Biden family and numerous questionable financial transactions which, in turn, spawned as many as 170 “Suspicious Activity Reports” (SARs) by financial institutions to the U.S. Treasury Department.
On Monday, Comer announced that he would be holding a Wednesday morning press conference to reveal some of the evidence the committee has unearthed thus far. As Nick Arama noted:
The word has been that the DOJ is considering charges for Hunter Biden related to taxes and a gun charge, and that they aren’t looking at counts related to the bigger question of alleged influence peddling related to the family’s foreign financial dealings. Once they charge, everyone will clam up and say they can’t talk because of the “investigation.” That will make it harder to get to the bigger issues.
Comer is saying they have far more than that small stuff. “We know exactly what this family was doing,” he said. The GOP is planning a press conference for Wednesday with some of that information.
Comer said the evidence implicates them in a far bigger “pay-for-play” bribery scheme. He spoke about the new evidence that the whistleblower had regarding a document that showed a bribery scheme involving policy decisions and included a “precise description of how the alleged criminal scheme was employed as well as its purpose.”
Biden Snaps at Reporter on Debt Ceiling While Throwing the Constitution Under the Bus
May 10, 2023
Joe Biden had a meeting with Republican and Democratic leaders about the debt ceiling on Tuesday, but they did not come to any agreements and there was no new movement in the negotiations, apart from Biden finally getting off his duff, out of the basement, and meeting with them.
As my colleague Bob Hoge explained:
McCarthy has offered a budget proposal that would trade spending cuts for an increased borrowing limit, but Biden has shown little interest in negotiating. The president has his own budget proposal: a $6.9 trillion behemoth that would spend $1.8 trillion more than the government would take in. He claims that massive new taxes would make up the difference and even lower the deficit.
In other words, Biden wants to keep on spending like it’s going out of style, despite how that spending has already led to record inflation and crushing the pocketbooks of Americans. The claim that somehow massive new taxes will enable him to continue to spend is madness. Once again, if he was trying to drive us off a cliff, what would he be doing differently? Not a heck of a whole lot.
White House says Biden has a ‘different vision’ for avoiding default
May 10, 2023
During a press briefing Tuesday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said President Joe Biden has a “different vision” than House Republicans when it comes to preventing a government default. Jean-Pierre said Biden will elaborate more on his idea for tacking the debt ceiling on Wednesday while he visits New York.

Twitter Community Notes Strike Again, Humiliates Biden After Posting Job Growth Lie
- by: Matthew Holloway
- 05.08.2023
- Source: DC Enquirer
The social media expression of dubiousness came at least 24 hours after Biden posted a graphic depicting approximately 480 thousand "Jobs Created By President Average Per Month" Friday afternoon sourcing the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics with the caption, "This is what happens when you invest in America. We have more work to do – but this is real progress."
Notably, the graphic depicts a loss of approximately 50,000 jobs per month on average under 45th President Donald J. Trump.
A failed attempt to understand 'Bidenomics'
May 10, 2023
Richard Blakley figures ol' Joe didn't take Economics 101 at Syracuse University
In a 1987 briefing, then-Sen. Joe Biden verbally attacked a reporter, stating that he went to Syracuse University on a full academic scholarship, graduated in the top half of his class, was the outstanding political student, earned three degrees and had a much higher IQ than the reporter to whom he was speaking. This interaction is at 2 minutes and 50 seconds into Jesse Watters' Fox program or at one of several other locations.
While Biden's comments were meant to intimidate and belittle the reporter, this did not prevent honest mainstream investigative reporters of 1987 from seeking confirmation of the senator's statements. They determined that Joe did not go to college on a full academic scholarship, did not graduate in the top half of his class, but instead graduated 76 out of 85, which means he was in the bottom half of his class, was not the outstanding political student and did not earn three degrees, but graduated with one. The only thing left to consider is Biden's comment about his IQ, which I think speaks for itself. How could you miss on this many things? Note that this was before he was senile.
Everything you've heard about the debt limit is wrong
May 10, 2023
James D. Agresti: 'If there is a default, it will only be because the Biden administration breaks the law'
Contrary to widespread claims that the U.S. government will default on its debt if Congress doesn’t raise the debt limit, federal law and the Constitution require the Treasury to pay the debt, and it has ample tax revenues to do this.
Nor would Social Security benefits be affected by a debt limit stalemate unless President Biden illegally diverts Social Security revenues to other programs.
The debt limit is a valuable tool for transparency, accountability, and giving voters an ongoing say in how their money is spent.

Federalism for Families
May 9, 2023
Red states should engineer policies to encourage higher birth rates and to attract large families.
ount me as one of those generally skeptical that tax breaks, tax credits, housing allowances, and other economic incentives for parents will decisively increase birth rates. In general, values like honor, pride, and shame affect how people behave more than any economic incentives. When family life—especially motherhood—is dishonored, birth rates decline; when honored, they rise.
South Korea has been throwing billions at families to encourage natality for more than a decade, only to see birth rates crater to historically unprecedented lows. Israel has the same family incentives it had two decades ago, but its total fertility rate has skyrocketed to more than 3.0, making it the only developed nation in the world whose population is growing exclusive of immigration. Family-friendly economic policies such as those in Hungary and Poland are not irrelevant, but not as important as other normative factors.
Senators feast on taxpayer-funded earmarks for pricey projects
May 9, 2023
Through largely hidden budget earmarks, S.C. senators have proposed a total of more than $314 million for projects next fiscal year mainly in their respective legislative districts – including dozens of $1 million-plus requests, a review by The Nerve found.
The 46-member Senate two years ago changed its rules purportedly to require more disclosure of historically secret taxpayer-funded earmarks, but the chamber hasn’t posted online its latest earmark list, though it passed a $38-billion, fiscal year 2023-24 state budget version on April 19.
The Nerve recently obtained the Senate earmark list under the S.C. Freedom of Information Act. A separate request under the open-records law was made for any House earmarks; House Clerk Charles Reid in a written response said the 124-member chamber has “no document(s) responsive to your request.”
George Soros Gives Left-Wing Candidate Big Campaign Boost
May 9, 2023
A PAC bankrolled by Democratic megadonor George Soros is flooding a western Pennsylvania race with cash to help a liberal public defender become the top prosecutor, contributing more than 90 percent of the total funds the candidate raised.
The Justice and Safety PAC has spent $734,000 on advertisements supporting Matt Dugan, the candidate running for Allegheny County district attorney in a primary against a moderate Democratic incumbent, Steve Zappala. Dugan raised just $76,764.17 excluding the Soros cash, the Washington Examiner reported.
