The 2nd Amendment of the Bill of Rights
"For those who do not understand the meaning of 'Rights', we need to make it clear once and for all:
The 2nd Amendment does not apply to semi-automatic rifles, nor does it apply to bolt action rifles, pistols, or revolvers. The 2nd Amendment RESTRICTS GOVERNMENT. The technology of the firearm is irrelevant. The restrictions on the government remain the same, regardless of the firearm. The 2nd Amendment was not written to grant permission for citizens to own and bear arms. It forbids the government interference in the right to own and bear arms, period. The right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed
This also applies to the other 'Rights'. They are not granted; they stipulate inherent rights that the government may not prohibit."

Saving the U.S. Constitution, Part I

The American giant towers over the world in its physical strength, greater than that of all the rest of the nations put together. But something is wrong with America.
At this high moment of history when the task of world leadership has been thrust upon us, we stand confused, reluctant, hesitant, and ineffectual. We are no longer certain what we stand for, and this, I believe, is because we have forgotten the circumstances surrounding the birth of our nation. . . . For decades it has been popular in America for the cynical intellectuals to sneer and scoff at what we call the traditions of Americanism. The instruments of this sabotage are words and thoughts — plausible half-truths, sly appeals to that spark of larceny that lurks in every human heart, subtle suggestions of an atheistic nature, and the careful nurturing of a patronizing attitude toward everything America has held to be fine and sacred. The people who planted these words and thoughts may have been either stupid or vicious, fools or foreign agents, smart-alecks, or cunning organizers.
What they were does not now matter—the thing that does matter is to counteract what they have done. Everybody in every position of leadership has to get into this act because the damage has affected every phase of our lives. The places in which this sabotage occurred were the schools, the churches, the communist-dominated labor halls, the lecture platforms, the motion pictures, the stage, the pages of our newspapers and magazines, and the radio. Every means of communication has been utilized against us. . . . The man (or nation) who has a plan—a way of life—in which he believes, has mental security. To destroy this security, one must destroy that man’s faith in his plan. Reliance on a code of life which, if held in common with one’s fellow men, brings peace of mind, develops the abilities of the group. . . . The degree to which the American code of life has been weakened can best be demonstrated by simply calling attention to the degree to which the foundation of that code has been weakened. Many people become self-conscious when discussing this foundation: I am not one of those people. That foundation (and of this there cannot be the slightest shadow of a doubt) is made up of the Ten Commandments and the Golden Rule. Within this moral code, we have a complete way of life. Acceptance of these precepts takes care of every phase of human life—spiritual, political, social, and economic. . . . America was a nation of people who had faith in their political and economic systems because they had faith in God, and had built those systems around the teachings of God. Every collectivist from Karl Marx to Stalin has agreed that faith in God must be destroyed before socialism can take over.
Therefore, it was obvious that the problem of sabotaging America’s faith in America was the problem of transferring the people’s faith in God to faith in the State. That thing called morality in politics, business, and private contracts, had to be broken down. To an increasing extent the American people have come to look upon morality as an old-fashioned superstition. Religion has for many church members become a safe way of dying rather than a good way of living. . . . There are many who tell us that all this is a waste of time—that the process of socialism cannot be reversed; that once it is started it must run its course. This we do not believe—we consider it part of the fake propaganda that is poisoning our will to resist. Our first-hand experience with millions of typical Americans convinces us that there is nothing wrong with America that the truth will not correct. We must be militant.
We are no longer fighting to defend a way of life—we are fighting to get it back. Our problem is a counterrevolution. In this fight we are not going to get any important help from any political party—the politicians have been giving the people the kind of government the people say they want, and the policies in Washington will not change until the people change. And that is the job of people who know the truth and love it enough to spread it. This must be a crusade—the greatest crusade in history. Those who take part are called hard names—reactionaries, Fascists, professional patriots, apologists for special privilege, and many others. These smears are also a part of the enemy’s strategy. Our forefathers who fought the first revolution were also smeared. They too were told that they were wasting their time and their fortunes on a hopeless adventure. It would have been much easier for them to go along with the established order and try in some way or other to buy their freedom instead of fighting for it. But unlike many people today, they preferred to fight. How many people do you know today who are sitting back, confident that their bank accounts will in one way or another protect them and their families from the creeping tyranny of strong central government? That is what people [in pre-World War II] thought in Italy, in Germany, in New Zealand, in Australia, and still later, in England. All they did was put off the hour of decision and weaken their power to fight back. In America people now console themselves with the idea that it can never happen here. It seems to them unreal that people with good old-fashioned American names and fine-looking American faces could exercise the tyrannies that have always been identified with bombs, daggers, whiskers, and unpronounceable syllables. But the fact remains that it is already beginning. Most of the instruments of tyranny are already on the statute books. The means of freedom’s destruction are already in the hands of the Federal administration. You say that no administration would dare use them? All history is against that answer—in the long run, power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. It always has and it always will. Our best weapon is truth—we must start using it. And we must do it while there is still time.

Regain The American and Patriotic Momentum

Where the Star and Stripes and the Eagles Fly
"On April 1, 1789, almost 10 months after the US Constitution was ratified, Frederick Muhlenberg is elected the first Speaker of the House of Representatives by the First Congress meeting in New York City. After the Constitution was ratified, the federal government of the United States made its first home in New York City. On April 1, 1789, the House of Representatives had enough members present to begin and elect its first officers. Frederick Augustus Conrad Muhlenberg, a Lutheran minister, businessman and politician from Pennsylvania, was chosen as the first Speaker of the House.
Thus began the creation of a country that gained a momentum very fast because of the virtue of the people and the spirit of freedom that was unleashed. For the next 125 years America grew and prospered and became the greatest nation on the face of the earth. In those 125 years America did face challenges. We fought the War of 1812. We fought the Civil War, brother against brother. But America, through We the People, gained its momentum again and again to continue to grow and prosper. And will continue to do so.
America's greatness influenced many nations around the world. And because of that influence, many nations developed their own democracies or republics by copying the United States Constitution.
You're probably asking the question, why does he use the 125 years? Because in 1913, Congress passed three bills that started to affect the American way of life and its momentum. They created the Federal Reserve, the 17th Amendment to the Constitution, and created the Internal Revenue Service. We will address these three issues during another Medlock's Minute.
With this short history lesson, it leads me to ask the question, “What can we do to regain America's momentum?” I think everyone will agree that in the last 15 months, America has lost some of its momentum. And we might add another question, “What can we do to regain our Patriotic momentum?”
George Washington said this “The general government can never be in danger of degenerating into a despotic or oppressive form so long as there shall remain any virtue in the body of the people.”
Samuel Adams added to that, “If we would most truly enjoy the gift of heaven, let us become a virtuous people; then shall we both deserve and enjoy it. Wow, on the other hand, if we are universally vicious and debauched in our manners, though the form of our constitution carries the face of the most exalted freedom, we shall in reality be the most abject slaves.”
Therefore, virtue in the minds of the founding fathers meant placing the interest of country before the interest of self. Frugality, industry, temperance, and good moral character were essential characteristics to maintain the spirit of unity and solidarity among the nation. The Founding Fathers recognized the fact that there could be no Republic without virtue. They further understood that developing Self-Discipline leads to Self-Mastery.
Next, we can put away all contention in our hearts. What do I mean by that? There are forces out there that are trying to cause contention and hatred among different groups. Whether it be because of skin color or class, rich or poor, different nationalities, or different religious beliefs, the battle is raging. But We the People as individuals and families, should be putting these contentions out of our heart. This is very important in gaining a new American and Patriotic momentum.
Another suggestion is this. “Seek Truth and Heed Not” to the false and evil influences in the world today. Do not listen to those voices of chaos. Do not listen to the false propaganda that is being thrown at us to confuse us. Look at the way that you think and understand things. And if you need to make a change, make that change. But we need to “heed not” to the false, the evil, the chaos and the hatred that is taking place in the world. Seek Truth always.
Look at the world with the heart and eyes of a child and life will become more beautiful.
Babe Ruth said, “It's hard to beat a person who never gives up.”

The Great American Revival of 2022
“Welcome 2022. A new year that can bring many changes for good as we do what is right and stand up for moral standards. Stay strong in your beliefs and faith.” Richard Medlock
Many media pundits and politicians like to refer to the “Great Global Reset” when they talk about plans to destroy the American way of life. But, instead of talking about that Reset, our conversations and actions should focus on the “Great American Revival”.
America and We the People need to Return to the Basics. Remember the phrase we used to use all the time, KISS? “Keep It Simple Stupid”. That way of thinking needs to return because it proved to be very successful in planning, understanding, and progress. When ideas and discussions become too complicated, confusion and chaos develop. Unfortunately, that’s where we are in America today. And many believe by design.
Here are nine ways that We the People can successfully bring about the “Great American Revival”.
1. The Ten Commandments:
They are as meaningful today as when Moses received them on the mount. By applying them in our lives, we will find
strength to fight the good fight. Take
the time to ponder how these laws and principles have been perverted and
ignored. Then think of ways how they can
become a stronger influence in American Society.
You shall have no other gods before Me.
You shall make no idols.
You shall not take the name
of the Lord your God in vain.
Keep the Sabbath day holy.
Honor your father and your
mother.
You shall not murder.
You shall not commit
adultery.
You shall not steal.
You shall not bear false
witness against your neighbor.
You shall not covet.
2. Parents, make your
children and family a high priority in your life.

Nothing can take the place of home in rearing and teaching children, and no other success can compensate for failure in the home.” David O. McKay
3. Study and understand
the United States Constitution. Know
and understand where our freedoms come from and how we can successfully defend
them.

4. Follow the admonition
of the Founding Fathers.
An old adage: “A people must from time to time, refresh themselves at the wellspring of their origin, lest they perish.”
5. Maintaining our
Freedoms should be a High Priority.
Peter Marshall said “May we think of freedom, not to do as we please, but an opportunity to do what is right.”
6. Do not allow the
enemies of America and Freedom to dominate the debate.
Patrick Henry “Is life so
dear or peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and
slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God. I know not what course others may take, but
as for me, give me Liberty or Give me Death!
Be the louder voice for Freedom, Virtue, Values, and Moral Principles.
7. Stand up against undesirable
elected persons and elect moral people.
Today we have become a nation
of “rule by man”. It has been said that
many political leaders think they know more than God. When men become a “law unto themselves” only
evil will prevail. This is not the American
way. Our Founding Fathers warned us of
this happening and gave us the way to correct the problem.

8. Place “Providence or
God” at the head of our families, counsels, schools. courts, and assemblies.
John Quincy Adams said “From the day of the Declaration … the American people were bound by the laws of God, which they all, and by the laws of the gospel, which they nearly all acknowledged as the rules of their conduct.”
9. Develop and maintain a “High Degree of Hope”. America is not lost. Who and what is lost are the leaders elected to govern and those that have decided to follow a false ideology. America is still standing because of faithful We the People.
America is at war with forces to destroy good and right. Our battles are moving forward and gaining ground as more Americans have decided to Stand Up and Speak Up. Thomas Paine was correct when he said, “Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigue of defending it.”
We the People are the Defenders of Freedom, Liberty, and Justice. We must decide not to grow weary or become fatigued in the good fight. Carry On with Strength and Foresight!
