A Virtuous Woman
The world often measures a woman's worth by what can be seen—her appearance, possessions, accomplishments, position, popularity, or influence. But Scripture takes us beneath the surface. God is interested in something deeper than presentation. He is interested in character.
The woman described in Proverbs 31 is
remarkable because she is not portrayed as weak, passive, or without purpose.
She is strong, industrious, intelligent, compassionate, courageous,
resourceful, and prepared. She works with her hands. She manages her household.
She makes wise decisions. She conducts business. She plans for the future. She
cares for the needy. She speaks with wisdom. And she blesses the people around
her.
