A Democratic-leaning group wants to make it easier for Americans to register to vote when they obtain their drivers’ licenses.
As The New York Times reports, the group iVote, comprised primarily of Clinton and Obama administration veterans, wants to expand the 1993 National Voter Registration Act, which requires states to offer people the opportunity to register to vote once they obtain a driver’s license. iVote wants to make registration automatic.
